10 Inch Y-Valve Grain Diverter for Grain Handling Systems

This custom 10 inch Y-valve was designed and built for use within an existing grain handling system. Most grain handling facilities don't stay exactly as they were originally built. Storage is added, equipment is upgraded, bins are repurposed, and processing requirements change over time. Eventually, the original spouting layout no longer reflects the way the facility actually operates.

This diverter was manufactured to introduce another routing option without requiring a major rebuild of a given system. Rather than committing grain to a single path, it allows operators to direct material where it's needed as operating requirements change throughout the day or season.

Routing Decisions Affect More Than One Piece of Equipment

A diverter doesn't operate on its own. It becomes part of a much larger system that may include receiving pits, bucket elevators, drag conveyors, augers, bins, dryers, and load-out equipment, not to mention the labour and time required to make the changes.
